Biography and Research Interest
Myelin is an essential component of the vertebrate nervous system and disruption to myelinated axons can cause the debilitating symptoms of many human diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis. My lab uses zebrafish to dissect the cellular and genetic basis of myelin formation in the Central Nervous System.
